Jody Quine

Two time Billboard charting Vocalist, Jody Quine (Sleepthief, Balligomingo) who’s most recent release, in 2019, a cover of Joni Mitchell’s River was added to over 148 stations across Europe and the UK and is on the verge of finally releasing her next full length solo album produced by Fernando Perdomo (Echo In The Canyon, The Dirty Diamond). Quine is also collaborating on projects with other producers for placements and release. “Her transcendent vocal style expands from silken sweetness to smouldering power, with a voice that beds down with the shivers under your skin, she will reach into your haunts and pull out the light. Musical Discoveries gushes: “This reviewer can hardly recall hearing a voice so elegant and controlled.” “When my fans shine on me, I shine right back!” says Quine. “I really hope to inspire. I want to get across is how important it is to follow your heart and be your best self, for in doing so you inspire others to do the same.”

Quine’s 2017 solo record, Stand Up, co-produced with Winston Hauschild was mixed by Andrew Scheps (Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Beyoncé, Lana Del Ray) and mastered by Eric Boulanger (Neil Young, One Replublic, Kate Bush, Rachel Platen) was very well received.  Having toured the US several times playing venues such as Hotel Café in Los Angeles and The Bitter End in New York City, as well as many other major cities including San Francisco, Boston, and Chicago. Onstage, she is positively mesmerizing, she mines deep emotionality with disciplined focus. Between songs, her background in improv comedy shines through as she entertains with warmth and wry wit.

 Jody discovered her innate musical talent at an open mic, singing with a friend to a packed house. Her pristine and angelic vocals hushed the crowd. When she finished, the room erupted in exuberant applause and cheers. A new talent was born. “I thought ‘This is it, I think I’ve found my thing.’ It felt amazing,” she recalls.

 “It’s been a wonderful adventure with my own music,” she says of this new era. “I am so blessed by my fans and their support throughout my career, and especially on this solo journey.”

 As a Grammy Voting Member, and now having been voted on to the Governing Board for the PNW Chapter of the Recording Academy, Jody also attends the Grammys every year, and works alongside many of the industry's best recording and, mastering engineers, musicians, and songwriters. She is very excited to be getting back in the game now that her children are older.
