Amy Pollock
As an independent musician, Amy Pollock spent her formative years honing her brand of ethereal-dreamy-dark-folk-pop as a busker on the streets of Naarm/Melbourne. Soon finding herself surrounded by a family of like-minded musicians, Amy immersed herself in the independent music scene and developed the mesmerising psyche she presents today. Diving head first into the highs and lows of the human experience, Amy is driven to explore, express and create with the full force of the emotional rollercoaster of living life.
Amy draws inspiration from an eclectic range of artists such as Daughter, City & Colour, Ben Howard, RY X, Charlotte Day Wilson and Lana Del Rey as well as finding a particular affinity with the soundscapes of alternative folk and dark electronic artists, immersing herself in the textures and depths they create.
While considering music to be a completely immersive experience, Amy also explores visual narratives to accompany her music while receiving nominations and awards for her work in collaboration with Strange Paradise Productions. (Premier at CLIPPEDKilda '23, Melbourne Short Film Festival ‘19, Peninsula Film Festival ‘20, Clipped Music Video Awards’20)
Collaborating with friends and creatives she has been able to develop and explore the creative process in a more intricate level. While working closely with her producer Hayden Calnin and band (Cameron Graham, Connor Black-Harry & Liam Brennan) Amy invites you into her world.
