Elki

ELKI makes powerful alt-pop with a strong command of storytelling and playful melodies, underpinned by a shimmering darkness.

Counting Kate Bush, Stevie Wonder, and Burt Bacharach as her most important influences, she has been fine-tuning her craft by writing and recording numerous demos using an antiquated Mac and a serious case of OCD. Realising she would just continue to re-record each tune over and over again, ELKI decided it would be a good idea to find a like-minded producer to assist. After receiving enthusiastic responses from multiple international heavyweight producers, she decided on Meg Mac producer, Joel Quartermain.

With four singles released, ELKI has already been feted by the likes of Stereogum, Pop Justice & Indie Shuffle. Her first single, Sirens, received BBC Radio 1 play, Triple J play, and stellar reviews from the US and UK. Thunder (single #2) was added to FBi rotation, and Triple J, Golden Age (single #3) garnered full rotation on Triple J, and her most recent tune, Beautiful Mess, was also added to Triple J.

Following a recent national tour supporting Bec Sandridge and an acclaimed showcase at Bigsound, this exciting new artist has multiple festivals lined up and a debut EP coming out in 2018.
