Thomas Lindahl
Thomas Lindahl is a renoowned Swedish composer for both the stage and film. Lindahl was born in Malmö, where he began his career composing at the local music school and amature theater.
After some years on different theatres a some years studies in musicology/composition/arranging he moved to Stockholm 1981 and began composing full time.
Lindahl has composed for the stage (Pantomimteatern, Mimensemblen, film ((Älska mej. Dir: Kay Pollak, Åke och hans värld. Dir: Allan Edwall) and television( Kallocain dir: Hans Abramson).
1993 his first opera performed; on the Lillan on Gothenburg Opera: Alice in Wonderland . Since the beginning of the 90´s Lindahl has worked together with the poet/author/artist Jacques Werup in Poetry Concert series.
The Ligths of the Province (Provinsens Ljus 1990) was a landmark in genre and became very popular.
Performed coninuousely for over 10 years and filmed by Jan Troell/Jan Hemmel for Swedish Television/Malmoe.
Among other works: After Noon Music (trpt and orchestra; performed by Håkan Hardenberger), music for the theatre, filmmusic for concert, arrangements and orchestrations for other artists.
