Oda Loves You
If you were walking in the streets of downtown Bergen in the mid-90s, you may well have fallen upon the voice of Oda Evjen Gjøvåg. She regularly took to the doorstep of her own home where she loved to sing and entertain passersby, in the hope to earn some pocket money from her hobby. Through this, she quickly learned that the path to becoming an artist and songwriter would be long and arduous. Fast forward to 2019 and Oda has written tracks for Alan Walker and Marcus & Martinus, tallying over 120M streams, and has featured as a vocalist on tracks from EC Twins and Minus Manus to name a few, collectively totalling over 20 million streams.
At the age of 19, she made the bold decision to challenge herself both personally and professionally and migrate to the pop metropolis of LA. Here she juggled student life with multiple part-time jobs, and slowly but surely she began to cement a name for herself in the big city. 7 years later she returned to Norway with an education in Screenwriting as well as a solid amount of song lyrics that she’d written in the bag. It wasn’t until more recently that she adopted the artist name Oda Loves You - an unequivocal summary of her objective to spread love and positivity through her music. Oda takes influence from artists including Missy Elliot and Busta Rhymes, saturated with pop inspirations such as Britney Spears and Spice Girls. Oda Loves You presents her confident and motivational music destined to be heard by the masses.
