Julie Downs
Pop/rock singer/songwriter Julie Downs stands out against the typically twangy backdrop of Nashville. Getting her start as a back up singer for giants Brooks and Dunn, Downs began creating her unique brand of pop/rock and came to Sorted Noise when it was time to record. Her hooky song “Lottery” was picked up by many states as their lottery theme song and Sorted Noise continues to work with Julie under the auspices of the Sorted Noise Artist Alliance, of which Downs is a substantially prolific contributor.
A slam dunk in the realm of film and TV, Julie has also penned the theme song for Style Network’s reality TV show Giuliana and Bill as well as hosted her own internet television show “Diary of a Background Singer” which is featured on CMT.
